There is a problem with Newsvine though... I learned from experience (and the hard way) that they don't like people submitting their own content/stories/articles or even their own sites/blogs and see self-promotion as a mortal sin that can lead to be barred from the site. So, it might not be a good idea to list it in a blog helping bloggers to get free traffic :-)

Mixx.com is definitely a must... They have groups as well so you can submit your stories/articles to the general users and those who are definitely interested in its topic. ;-)

I would recommend the Mixx - 'How To' Articles Group for posts/blogs giving advices, it's a new one (so still lacks a decent amount of submissions) but could grow in something big soon...

Whew, you call this a shortlist? It is such an useful, effective longlist. You know, I had asked many people about social bookmarking sites and all they came up with was few famous ones. Thanks friend. I will, in the next few days, go through all and see how it works.
